Vision Velocity
The Vision Velocity Program began last fall with little more than ten students. They spent the first few months adjusting to the expectations of the program and challenging their personal limitations. Since that time, enrollment has nearly doubled, with more than twenty students picking up the program in January. At the dawn of the new year, students began 10-week modules designed to impart vital information to challenge the students and improve their long-term quality of life. Each session is focused on one of two courses of study; Vision Velocity and Economics of Life. Students study financial planning, the law of focus and the how to build a personal vision. Along the way, they are quickly becoming a more unified group. By creating an atmosphere without judgment and fostering a spirit of cooperation, this program has already seen unique effects.

"The Me That I See"
Bricesin Scott is an impressive young man, on the verge of the kind of success most people spend their whole lives chasing. He's got everything going for him. He is a Christian Brothers Academy graduate, as well as a graduate from Mercy Works' SYNERGY program and is currently attending Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA. With a major in Biology and a minor in Music, his 3.13 GPA alone mark his achievement. That is to say nothing of his demeanor which exudes confidence, humility and charm. During the summer of 2007, Bricesin interned as a research assistant for local Dr. James Greenwald. Through the SYNERGY program, he had the opportunity to explore the field he one day hopes to enter; Pediatric Medicine. In addition to the rigorous SYNERGY schedule, he also served as a leader in last summer's community service project at Dr. King school. Bricesin has also been selected to travel to China this summer where he will spend two weeks assisting Chinese doctors. Bricesin will then return home to Mercy Works to train in the SYNERGY program a second summer. |
